Say hello to the new Poparide

Celebrating 10 years with a fresh new look and feel 🚀

Poparide turned 10 this last year and to celebrate, we’ve refreshed our brand from top to bottom.

Carpooling is more than just getting from A to B, it’s about people sharing a real-world experience, helping each other save money, while building connections along the way.

That’s why our new brand is designed to reflect you, our community: friendly, diverse, helpful, and full of character. Here’s how we’ve done it.


A new logo, with a smile

We’ve said goodbye to the wheel and hello to a smile, because carpooling isn’t actually about cars, it’s about people helping each other get around.

Our new logo is simple, friendly, and a nod to those shared IRL moments that make every trip memorable.


A more inclusive colour palette

Our new colours are softer and more diverse, chosen to reflect the wide range of people who make up our community.

Whether you’re a student, a commuter, someone heading out on a weekend adventure, from the West Coast, the Prairies or the Maritimes, we want Poparide to feel like it’s made for you.


A friendlier font you can trust

We’ve picked a new typeface that feels a little old-school (in a good way). It’s clear, friendly, and easy to read, helping us bring more warmth and personality into everything from our marketing to our in-app instructions.

It also feels more human, so it’s right on brand.


Smarter, more meaningful illustrations

We’ve kept our illustrative style simple, while adding more depth and detail.

Our new illustrations include hints of Canadian landscapes and highlight the diversity of our members, all while staying true to the light, clear aesthetic you’re used to.

A big shout out to our talented designer Cheryl Loh for these amazing illustrations!


An updated app that’s easier to use

We’ve made some key changes to help you post and find trips faster. Our new tabs on the home screen give you direct access to the features you use most.

We’ve also reduced the number of colours across the app to make your experience cleaner and more intuitive.

Oh, and we’re working on a completely new trip posting experience, stay tuned for more!

A totally revamped website

Our website got a full makeover. We’ve reorganized the navigation, simplified the interface, and added more meaningful icons and illustrations throughout.

Whether you’re booking a trip or updating your profile, everything should now feel easier and more helpful.

Meet Popabear

Last but not least, we’d like to introduce Popabear, our new mascot!

Popabear will be showing up across our content to help explain how Poparide works and support you along the way.

Think of them as your friendly carpooling guide.


We hope you love the new Poparide as much as we do.
