"Initially, I would have given Joe a 5-star review, but things took a turn at the very end. Joe was our first Poparide driver, and at first everything went smoothly. He was communicative beforehand and even agreed to pick us up at our accommodation, which we really appreciated. On the day of the ride, he picked us up on time, was friendly, and mentioned that if we wanted the windows or sunroof closed to just let him know (which becomes important later). During the drive, we chatted briefly, but since it was early and we were tired, my friend and I mostly kept to ourselves and finalized our plan in Whistler quietly. Joe played his music at a reasonable level and seemed to be vibing. However, just before arriving in Whistler, I asked if he could close the sunroof because it was cold. Even though he had said earlier to let him know if we wanted it closed, he replied with a firm “no”. My friend and I looked at each other a bit confused but just let it be. We arrived to Whistler shortly after, he dropped us off at a bus stop outside of Whistler village and abruptly said, “Get out! And just so you know for next time, I’m not a taxi.” Confused, I calmly asked what he meant, but he only repeated, “I’m not a taxi, get out”. He was really hostile and I was so confused. I tried to ask him again but he just repeated the same thing before driving off. The whole thing felt unnecessary and left us both confused and upset, especially since the ride itself had felt fine until then. Based on this experience, I personally wouldn’t recommend riding with Joe."
