Honestly, It wasn’t a good experiences I had with Papa Ride. I arrived right on time at 11 AM, and the vehicle was a van. As I approached and tried to open the door, the driver snapped at me angrily, saying, “This is an automatic door! I’ve never seen anyone try to open it manually! If it breaks, it’ll cost thousands of dollars!” I was very embarrassed and immediately apologized, but it really wasn’t a great way to be welcomed. The van was fairly clean, and since there were only three passengers, we all had enough space. The driver drove extremely fast. From reading reviews, I saw others mentioned the same thing. While he seemed to be a skilled driver, the speed made the ride uncomfortable. Halfway through the trip, we stopped for a 10-minute break. I told the driver I didn’t need to get off. About five minutes later, I realized I needed to take my medication and wanted to grab a bottle of water. I was sitting in the back row and couldn’t move the front seats myself, so I asked the driver to let me out. He started arguing with me, saying, “Why didn’t you get out when I told you earlier? There are only 5 minutes left now and we’re going to be late.” Ironically, the other passengers returned to the van five minutes after that. At the end of the ride, I kindly asked if he could drop me off closer to my home. Although it was possible, he refused again—this time with a rather unfriendly tone, saying no. He did make a fair point that drivers can’t drop everyone off exactly where they want, and I understand that completely. But only if it’s communicated with respect. We don’t have the right to speak to others however we like—just as I, as a passenger, don’t have the right to be rude or disrespectful. Communication and mutual respect should always come first
