Eliana
Part of me feels bad because he was a nice guy but I have huge safety concerns for others, so I feel obligated to leave this review. Please read to the end. Number 3 is especially important.
1. He was 15 min late
2. He was on conference calls for most of the time he was driving and had them all on speaker phone. Dealing with work emergencies and definitely distracted by work throughout the drive
3. He fell asleep at the wheel and I had to intervene and ask him to pull over. He was receptive and not defensive which was appreciated but a responsible driver would have noticed that they were not fit to drive and would have either canceled the ride or pulled over way sooner. We were all put in danger and could have literally died. It was a scary experience.
4. A passenger had to take over for him at the wheel and ended up driving us for half of the trip.
5. He changed the type of car he was planning on driving last minute.
6. The A/C didn't work and so we had to sit in a 30 degree car for 7 hours.
7. We were squished like sardines as 3 adults in the back row. It was extremely uncomfortable and I'm not sure how you could ethically have 3 people pay for that. Max 2 people in the back in that car.
8. His stops were poorly planned and kinda random.
9. He thought it might be appropriate to stop at a car dealership to get his tesla back while we were on the road. Ultimately he came to his senses but I was completely flabbergasted that he thought this would be appropriate.
10. He took a 5 minute detour to drive around his work building and see who was in the parking lot even after all that had happened and the fact that we were all deeply uncomfortable and exhausted.
Overall I can't even believe this happened and urge him to not take on the responsibility of getting people safely to their destination unless he can put the distractions aside and self monitor enough to not fall asleep with 4 humans in the car. Insane!!!
