The driver arrived 30 minutes late (scheduled for 4:00 PM, came at 4:30 PM). Midway through the trip, he stopped to dine in at a restaurant, which delayed our arrival from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM without informing it earlier. He was also on free-hand phone calls with friends and family throughout the journey. Overall, the experience was unprofessional and poorly managed.

To clarify:
1) the trip was originally scheduled for 3:45 pm. At passenger request, it was adjusted to 4 pm and the passenger was picked by 4:15 pm, which is within a reasonable time to get picked.
2) A short break of 20-30 minutes during 3.45 hrs trip is in line with safe driving practices.
3) all calls were hands free and compliant with road safety regulations.
However, passenger complaining about the break and being impolite during the trip may compromise safety and that is not advisable.
