"DO NOT DRIVE WITH THIS PERSON! Red flag after red flag.. first I was supposed to be driving with her, then once I book she says it’s actually going to be her fiancé driving me. What if I was a person not comfortable alone in a car with a man I don’t know! Then she asks if I wanna pay e Transfer when the pop system has already taken my $ and why would I pay that way, screams scam! Then when her partner shows up it’s him and another guy. They start blasting hard gangster rap. And I’m a fan of almost any kind of music but they really didn’t seem even care what I thought. Then the driving, speeding, even I speed but at a safe level. This was not safe. Passing with close calls. And the tailgating was insane I was literally praying for my life. I think he was high on coke as he kept wiping his nose drips as well.. and he was playing on his phone in his lap the whole drive too! so somehow we make it to Edmonton and he realizes he has to switch lanes and almost hits a car.. then says oh I didn’t see him. I was like we are 10min from drop off point I will make it. Then 2 more minutes and he’s on his phone again doesn’t see the guy that is stopped in front of us for a red light. Slams on his brakes comes a inch from hitting him. And the car behind us and the one behind it get into a big accident and all I see in the review mirror is smoke and debris flying.. then he has the nerve to comment that guy in front of us should not be driving.. what the f! I have his license and it will be reported! If I was you I would not take a ride from her either as she may switch you to her partner driving and just the fact she would send me with a driver like that speaks to her character. You had asked if you could e-transfer payment directly to avoid the GST and tax that Poparide includes, and I informed you that I wasn’t in town and that my partner would be driving on my behalf. I also mentioned that he would be picking up one other passenger before you. It’s important to note that when using Poparide, riders don’t get to choose or know in advance exactly who the other passengers or the driver might be. That’s part of the shared ride experience. I don’t have to specify whether the driver is male or female—if that was a concern for you, you had the option to cancel the ride instead of proceeding. Additionally, my partner only contacted me once during the trip to confirm whether you were the correct passenger. He did, however, mention there was a noticeable strong odour, but aside from that, there were no issues from his end. I also want to make it very clear that my partner does not, and has never, used drugs. Any implication otherwise would be completely false and unfair.
