"Wonderful host and comfortable ride!"

"This was one of the most unpleasant rides I’ve ever experienced. As a South Asian Muslim woman with past traumatic experiences, I requested the front seat for my comfort and safety. Instead of being understanding, the driver insisted it was “first come, first served” and expected me to sit in a cramped back seat with two male passengers. When I politely stood by my request, his attitude became rude and dismissive. During a fuel stop, he raised his voice, told me I should take the bus instead of using Poparide if I had safety concerns, and later complained that he had driven an extra 2 km to drop me off, even though it was said in Sudbury it will be a door to door drop off and he didn’t complained for other passengers about how many km he had to drive extra where my drop off was literally next block of Transit hub downtown . I found his behavior unprofessional and disrespectful. I booked this ride based on positive reviews but left feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. I hope Poparide considers allowing passengers to cancel a ride without penalty if they feel unsafe or uncomfortable. I will not be booking with this driver again."
