"I honestly don’t know how to describe this trip. An interesting experience, perhaps… just not for the right reasons. First, I was asked to meet at a different pick-up point. The driver asked nicely and gave me advance notice, so even though it was a detour for me, I accommodated it. He also arrived exactly when he said he would, so credit where credit is due. So far, so good. And then the driving started. From departure to arrival, he was non-stop on his phone. Texting, making personal calls, and, because apparently this was also the perfect time for multitasking, even calling someone from Facebook Marketplace about a car he apparently wants to buy. Because why not combine a road trip with a little car shopping? Had he been using an earpiece, I would have thought, okay, not ideal, but fine. Instead, he was holding the phone directly to his ear or texting, driving one-handed for most of the trip. Extremely unsafe and honestly quite concerning. We did arrive in one piece, so… yay? Mission accomplished, I guess. Will you survive this ride? Probably. Would I like to test that theory again? Absolutely NOT"
