"Germain was already 30 minutes late for the morning trip, which caused us to miss our event in Ottawa. To be fair, he did message about an hour beforehand saying he would be 10–15 minutes late, so I decided to let it slide. His car was comfortable and the ride itself was fine. However, the return trip was an absolute nightmare. Pickup was scheduled for 9:30 PM. I messaged him at 8:50 PM for confirmation and got no response. As usual, we arrived early and waited from 9:15 PM. At 9:25 PM, I finally called him for an update, only to be told he would be 45 minutes late. Keep in mind: it was nighttime, raining heavily, and we were stranded in an unfamiliar and rowdy area of Ottawa. We had no other way to get back to Montreal at that hour — buses, trains, and other rides were already gone. We were exhausted and genuinely anxious that he might never show up. Trying to stay safe, we waited inside a nearby pub. At 10 PM, while heading back to the pickup spot, I messaged again for another update. This time, he said 10:30 PM. At that point, we were completely stressed and soaked from the rain. We kept moving between pubs just to avoid standing outside in an unsafe area. When we returned again at 10:30 PM, he still wasn’t there. Someone was openly doing drugs right beside the pickup spot while we stood there drenched, exhausted, and hoping every white car passing by was him. He finally arrived around 10:45 PM. What was supposed to be a fun day out — our first in 6 months — ended with us feeling traumatised, unsafe, and miserable. Extremely disappointing experience. Never again."
