"This was by far my worst experience on Poparide. I would never book another ride with this driver, Yamini.
When I first got into the car, Yamini told me to sit in the back. I was shocked to see that much of the rear seating area was filled with her personal belongings and luggage, piled almost to the ceiling. None of this had been disclosed before booking.
Having taken many rideshares before, I simply commented that I had never seen so much luggage in a passenger vehicle. Instead of offering any explanation, she immediately said, "No complain." I found this very rude and disrespectful.
Later, another male passenger was picked up. I moved to the front passenger seat, while he sat directly behind me. He and Yamini had a prolonged, very loud conversation across the car. She also repeatedly turned her head toward him while driving at night on wet roads, which concerned me.
Their conversation was so loud that I developed a headache. I was listening to a lecture on my phone at a very low volume, holding it close to my right ear, and even had to put a noise-reducing earplug in my left ear.
When Yamini asked about headphones, I tried to explain that their loud conversation was disturbing me. Instead of listening, she said, "Don't talk to me."
After hearing this, the other passenger stopped talking. I then explained that since they were no longer talking, I would turn off my lecture immediately. She responded again, "Don't talk to me."
I never asked them to stop talking or even directly asked them to lower their voices. I was simply trying to explain my situation.
I understand that ridesharing requires flexibility and mutual consideration. What upset me most was not the luggage or the conversation itself, but the driver's dismissive and disrespectful attitude whenever I tried to communicate.
Passengers deserve honest information, basic courtesy, and a safe, comfortable ride. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing."
