Free Rides to the Global Climate Strike
To support the Global Climate Strike, Poparide is offering free rides to members travelling to the events in Canada on Friday, September 27 2019.
When we started Poparide back in 2015, we committed to put our skills towards building a business that would create a positive impact on both people and the planet.
In that time, there have been worrying signs of accelerating climate change with intensified natural disasters around us: faster melting of Canada’s Arctic and severe wildfires, amongst others.
The federal government climate report released in April 2019 suggests that Canada is warming at double the global rate, and that the effects already seen are probably irreversible. Despite this, the report also notes that warming could be limited if global action is taken.
As leaders of a community of over 200,000 members, we feel it’s our duty to help people come together to act on this issue. This is why Poparide will be providing free rides to members participating into the Climate Strike events on Friday, September 2019 (more details on this below).
We hope that by empowering more people to act on climate change, we can help accelerate solutions to a problem that affects us all, and pave the way for a more sustainable future for generations to come.

How to redeem a free ride
If you’d like to join a #ClimateStrike event in Canada and need a ride, simply book on Poparide and then email us a picture of you attending the event at support@poparide.com. We’ll send you a full refund on your booking through an Interac or PayPal transfer*.
If you’re a driver and want to contribute, please post your trip on Poparide and tag your trip description #ClimateStrike.
